AplusLCD is a Shenzhen-based OEM/ODM manufacturer of ultra-wide stretched bar LCD displays, designing and producing bar-format displays since 2008. Unlike trading companies that simply resell panels, we operate our own production factory with 200-300 units per day capacity, ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certified — so every stretched display you order is manufactured, tested, and supported by the same engineering team that quotes your project, and we ship to OEM customers in more than 50 countries.
Standard portfolio, genuine panels
Standard models cover the 23.1" (16:1.3, 1920×158, 700 nits) and the 48.0" (32:6, 3840×720, 1000 nits) stretched bar formats, both proven across thousands of retail and transportation deployments. Brightness runs 300 to 1500 nits as standard, with a 2500-nit semi-outdoor option for covered transit stations and shop-front positions. Every unit is built on a genuine brand-new A-grade panel from AUO, BOE, LG, or Samsung — never refurbished, never B-grade — with precision-cut glass and sealed edges that prevent the moisture ingress behind the most common failure point in cheap stretched alternatives.
An aluminum backplate with a heat-spreading design keeps the narrow chassis cool for 24/7 operation, so backlight output does not degrade unevenly during continuous retail or transit duty.
Custom is the standard here
Because shelf-edge retail and transportation installations rarely fit a standard aspect ratio, most of our work is a custom stretched LCD project rather than an off-the-shelf purchase. Our engineering team supports fully custom sizes from 8.8" to 86" with any aspect ratio, custom bezel colors and materials (aluminum or plastic), custom brightness targets, custom connectors and pinouts, and even custom enclosures. PCAP multi-touch and IR touch are integrated during production — not added afterward — so the touch layer survives the sealed-edge lamination process, and an optional built-in Android media player with CMS support schedules content, updates screens remotely, and manages multi-screen installations from one dashboard.
Shelf-edge retail
The most common use is the shelf edge display: an ultra-wide 16:1.3 format that sits directly on the retail shelf to show dynamic pricing, promotions, and product information beside the merchandise. AplusLCD bar screens are already running in supermarkets, convenience chains, and electronics retailers across North America, Europe, and the Middle East, replacing paper price tags with real-time pricing updated from the POS or pricing server. The narrow format fits standard shelf-edge rails without blocking adjacent products, and 700 nits keeps prices legible under typical fluorescent ceiling lighting. For retail shelf and digital price-tag applications, see our Shelf Edge Display Solutions.
Beyond shelf edge
Stretched displays also serve transportation (above-door passenger information in trains, buses, and metro cars), queue management (narrow number displays in banks and hospitals), and digital menu boards (space-efficient formats for drive-thru and fast-food counters). Each application gets dedicated mechanical and thermal designs — transportation models use wider operating temperature ranges and vibration-tolerant mounting, while menu-board models prioritize higher brightness and a thinner profile.
A deliberately low-risk partnership
There is no minimum order quantity: order a single sample to validate size, brightness, and fit, then scale through pilot runs of 10-50 units to mass production. Standard lead time is 7–10 working days for stock-based configurations, with tooling and customization costs quoted transparently up front. We have shipped more than 200,000 units globally with a damage rate below 0.1% using custom-cut foam packaging and reinforced cartons, and every shipment is insured. Our engineers provide free integration advice — tell us your mounting space, ambient light, and content type, and we will recommend the exact panel size, brightness, and interface for your project.
