The payment terminal Portuguese Client was building for a high-traffic public space required a 15" touch monitor certified to the IK-10 impact-protection rating, able to withstand deliberate impact, attempted vandalism, and years of everyday public use before the project could move forward. Yet no off-the-shelf product met that requirement within the customer's budget: standard monitors offered only ordinary glass covers rated far below IK-10, while the few industrial models that came close carried price tags that would have made the entire terminal project uneconomical.

The customer's self-service kiosks stood in direct sunlight for much of the day, and in summer heat the displays repeatedly went black — the panel overheating under solar load until the image vanished entirely. Each blackout left the kiosk effectively offline at the exact moment shoppers needed it, forcing staff to reset units on site and eroding operator confidence in high-temperature regions where interrupted self-service operation was costing real revenue.

Swedish Client needed a bar-type stretched LCD panel with a 700×170mm active display area for a retail product design — a long, narrow format that had to drop into an enclosure they had already tooled. No standard LCD panel on the market came anywhere near those proportions: conventional 16:9 panels were far too square, and even the widest off-the-shelf stretched displays missed the required active area by a wide margin, which would have forced a complete enclosure redesign if a standard part were chosen.

French Client needed in-vehicle displays for Korean buses, where the mounting space above the windshield measured only 1100×225mm — a long, narrow footprint that ruled out every standard monitor on the market. The challenge went well beyond the dimensions: the display had to survive the constant vibration and wide temperature swings of daily bus service, run directly from the vehicle's 24V electrical system, and stay bright and readable for passengers — all within a package size no standard panel manufacturer offered.

Emirati Client needed an elevator display that could survive the harshest parts of daily public use — waterproof against cleaning and condensation, vandal-proof against impact and abuse, with a full stainless steel housing and bezel and a tempered glass front. No standard product combined all of these requirements: commercial elevator screens lacked the sealed stainless steel construction, while industrial-grade sealed monitors were far too large for the space-limited elevator installation, where the mainboard also had to be mounted remotely from the panel.
