Swedish Client needed a bar-type stretched LCD panel with a 700×170mm active display area for a retail product design — a long, narrow format that had to drop into an enclosure they had already tooled.

No standard LCD panel on the market came anywhere near those proportions: conventional 16:9 panels were far too square, and even the widest off-the-shelf stretched displays missed the required active area by a wide margin, which would have forced a complete enclosure redesign if a standard part were chosen.

02 — Our Solution

Our Solution

We custom-cut glass from a 32" LCD panel to produce a 28.3" stretched LCD panel with a 698.4×170mm display area — a near-exact match to the 700×170mm requirement, achieved without altering the customer's existing enclosure.

The panel was supplied as a complete LCD kit with a matching controller board and interface wiring, ready to assemble. Our custom stretched panels are highly flexible and can be cut to virtually any dimension to meet custom project specifications.

The Result

The customer received the LCD kits and mounted them perfectly into their existing housing without any mechanical modification, delivering a seamless drop-in fit.

By reusing their proven enclosure and tooling, the customer avoided a full redesign, making the custom display a cost-effective path to market for their retail product.
